Here’s a quick and to the point explanation of what can be done with MIDI Converter Studio: you can use this application to convert MIDI files; the WAV, MP3, WMA, and OGG audio formats are supported for the output. As is usually the case with converter type applications, using MIDI Converter Studio is a very straightforward matter: load the MIDI file(s) you want to convert, set up the conversion parameters, and launch the conversion.

MIDI Converter Studio's setup wizard provides support for multiple languages, briefly presents the functionality this application has to offer, lets you choose where to install the application, lets you pick if you want a desktop shortcut or not, and lets you launch the application as soon as the installation process completes.

MIDI Converter Studio features two means of converting MIDI files: sound recording or rendering using SoundFonts. The latter option, rendering using SoundFonts, is used by default. If you want to switch to the sound recording option, you can do so from the Options menu (General -> Conversion Mode -> Sound recording). Before you do that, you need to know that sound recording is considerably slower.

I liked two things about MIDI Converter Studio’s interface. First up, I liked that it has a familiar layout and is quite easy to navigate. Next up, I liked that it provides support for multiple languages; French, German, Italian, even Romanian.

And now, I will enumerate this application’s main features and functions: convert a single MIDI file or batch convert multiple MIDI files; pick one of two conversion methods; pick WAV, MP3, WMA, or OGG as the output format; each output format can be customized; there’s a built-in player so you can listen to a MIDI file before initiating the conversion; view ID3 tags; burn converted MIDI files to an audio CD; convert MIDI files and store them locally.

MIDI Converter Studio is not free, it is only free to try. The trial version will convert only 60 seconds of each file and will display a nag screen at startup.

MIDI Converter Studio can play MIDI files and it can convert them to WAV, MP3, WMA, or OGG.

Pros

Thanks to a simple setup wizard, you will quickly install MIDI Converter Studio on your Windows PC. The interface provides support for multiple languages and it’s easy to use. Convert MIDI files using one of two methods: sound recording or rendering with SoundFonts. Convert MIDI files to one of the following audio formats: WAV, MP3, WMA, or OGG. Listen to MIDI files before converting them.

Cons

Trial limitations: converts only 60 seconds of each file; presents a nag screen at startup.
